The texture of a material may make a design either becoming or not through its interaction with both color and line & proportion. This class presents the design principles, proportion, rhythm, balance, and emphasis applied to texture. Topics also include color harmony, coordination & interaction, and color proportions. Students will design and present garment color and texture schemes.
Prerequisite: Design Line and Proportion I

Aesthetics reviews the design principles of color, line & proportion, and texture, synthesizing them into a whole. An analytical model of aesthetics is presented which students use to develop an aesthetic appreciation of their own and other’s work.
